Weekly Fishing Report 06.10.10

Great action on a blue and white Dick Nite. Blue? yes Blue.

WATER TEMPERATURE:  52 degrees     IN FLOW  395 CFS        OUT FLOW   131 CFS

CONDITIONS: All Park facilities and fishing access areas are open. The hatch is on the wane and should be over any day. Lots of water coming into the lake.

TROUT: (Rainbow, Cuttbow, Cutthroat, Brown) GOOD TO VERY GOOD: With the hatch just about over the fish have the urge to fill that stretched stomach. Along with  favorable water temperature and the large in flow stirring up food the bite is on! Rainbows and Cutthroats 14 to 23 inches. Action can be fast and furious. Lots of different lures working on the troll. Shore action is great at night with some of the best catching in years. Hobert, Rocking Chair and Rodgers Mt. are hot.

KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR: The bite is sporadic and  is best when the wind is blowing. Look to North Shore to Goose Island and Rocky Flats to Rocking Chair. Trolling spoons such as Needlefish and Arnies along with selected Tasmanian Devils do well as well as Dodgers and Sling Blades.

NORTHERN PIKE: POOR: The bite was strong through the ice but has been coming up short in open water. Small fish the order of the day. Lots of time little pay off. Work the drop offs of rocks around Deer Island and Witchers Cove in addition to North Shore to Rocky Flats. Throw the big stick baits or troll Stoll Mtn along the over flow channel to Cross Creek.

MARINA HOURS: EVERYDAY 7:00AM to 7:00PM. Finally recieved a shipment of Tasmanian Devils which have been hard to come by of late.

ITS TIME TO FISH!!!
