Fishing Report

Weekly Fishing Report 06.17.10

The fish don't care if it rains. Looks like non stop action.

WATER TEMPERATURE:   54 degrees   IN FLOW  299 CFS    OUT FLOW  300 CFS

CONDITIONS: All Park facilities are open. Last weeks rain helped alleviate some of the conditions.

TROUT: (Rainbow, Cuttbow, Cutthroat, Brown) EXCELLENT: The catching has been nothing short of spectacular. Lots and lots of action on the troll. Rainbows, Cutthroats and Cuttbows running 12 to 20 inches. Although mornings have been the best the fish seem to be hitting all day long. Lead Core trolling rigs and downriggers are kicking butt. LOts of spoons and lure working with Tasmanian Devils, Dick Nites and Arnies being some of the best. No shortage of action for the cowbell crew. Shore action is also strong particularly on the South Shore. Although the nnight fishing has been the best plenty of day tiime action to be had on Crawlers, Power Bait and Marshmallows.

KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR: We are catching them but limts are hard to come by. Most folks scoring two to five on a trip. Downriggers are helpful with some fish holding 30 to 40 feet down. Dodgers, Sling Blades with a hoochie and a piece of corn do well. Tasmanian Devils, Kastmasters, Needlefish and Krocodiles do well. After can be better than the morning unless you are out at the crack of dawn.

NORTHERN PIKE:: FAIR TO POOR: Oh well, they just won’t cooperate. Lots of time yields minimal fish. Try all the baits in the box. Daredevle and Husky Jerks a good play.
