CONDITIONS: All Park facilities are open. Summer is finally here.
WATER TEMPERATURE: 59 degrees
TROUT: (Rainbow, Cuttbow, Cutthroat, Brown) EXCELLENT TO SICK: The bite has not been this strong may be ever in recent memory. Granted most of the fish landed are those stocked in January through the ice but they are chunky and spunky. Try to find a lure that does not catch fish and you might have a hard time. If you go East and deeper bigger Rainbows to be had. Try Deer Island to Duck Island down 30 to 40 feet in deeper water. West end is where all the non stop action is. Limits abound. Take the kids and get them hooked on fishing.
KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR: The bite is not hot and heavy but big ones running 17 to 20 inches can be had. Deeper water holds the bigger fish. Goose Island and Duck to Deer Island for best chances. Late morning is good as well as very early.
NORTHERN PIKE: (no limit) POOR: You can catch the little ones but the big ones are a no show for time put in.
