Weekly Fishing Report 07.01.10

Big fish alert. 12.5 lb Brown. Congratulations Frank.

CONDITIONS:   Water Temperature  63 degrees.        177 CFS IN    104CFS  OUT. All park facilities are open.  Currently no fire ban in Park County.

TROUT: EXCELLENT: The strong bite continues. From shore or boat, anglers are catching fish and a lot of them. Although most are only 13 to 16 inches larger fish are getting caught more frequently. Rainbows, Browns, Cutthroats and Cuttbows are all in the mix. Trollers knocking them dead on Tas Devils, Dick Nites and Arnies Reflecto. Many other lures working. Shore anglers seeing best results on Rainbow, Garlic or Salmon Peach Power Bait.

KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR: Larger fish are being caught frequently but few limits. Smaller ones have not been biting. Folks have come in bragging about catching a bunch of salmon but are really trout. Know your fish or you will be over the limit. Tas Devils, Apex, Needlefish and Kastmasters do well. Work Goose Island to Duck and Duck to Deer. Fish are 30 to 40 feet down.

NORTHERN PIKE: POOR: Except for the smaller ones there is no cooperation.

MARINA HOURS: MONDAY – FRIDAY 7:00AM – 7:00PM
