We want you to be successful here at the Mile. Get a map we will mark it up with the hot spots. I guess we sell so many Eleven Mile Maps that Fish n Map CO ran out. Hope to get them next week.
LEAD CORE TROLLING RIGS catch more fish. Let us show you how. Combo’s fully rigged with lead line and leader ready to catch starting at $129.00.. Lead core with a Tas can’t be beat. Buy a rig this weekend get a free Tasmanian devil.
TROUT: GOOD: Dog days of Summer brings weeds. But usually wher the weeds are are fish. Those big weed beds are just dripping with food. Action mostly on Cuttbows running 14 to 15 inches. Those 15 inchers are now getting close to 16. Make sure you measure your catch. Trolling still remains effective although weeds are an issue on the West end in particular. Needlefish have been very productive in Brass Bikini, Nickel Bikini, FT and Pink. Tas devils just can’t miss if you choose the right pattern which can change from day to day. Y82 has done particularly well of late. And of course many other lures and patterns also produce so try your favorite. The one you have confidence in. That’s why we have tackle boxes. Bite times vary. Fish are suspended. Shore anglers like the 11 Mile Night Crawler Mallow Sandwich. Power Bait in garlic and salmon peach seem to be the best but many other flavors work. Don’t forget Pautske Salmon Eggs always a favorite of big fish.
KOKANEE SALMON:POOR: Hide and seek or no hide no bite. If you find large schools you will be hard pressed to get them to bite. Straight out from North Shore between Goose and Duck Islands have been the best bet. As far a baits your guess is as good as ours.
NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR: Mark your calendar. SERIOUS FISHERMEN TEAM PIKE TOURNAMENT September 14. Hope to post next week. Fish are being caught but the big ones are hard to get to bite. You can see them some times but that doesn’t mean you can catch them. Work Howbert to Witchers or Cross Creek to Rocky Flats. We also like Corral Cove. Pitch the sticks and Bill’s Spinner Baits.
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
