We want you to be successful here at the Mile. Get a map we will mark it up with the hot spots.
LEAD CORE TROLLING RIGS catch more fish. Let us show you how. Combo’s fully rigged with lead line and leader ready to catch starting at $129.00.. Lead core with a Tas can’t be beat. Buy a rig this weekend get a free Tasmanian devil.
TROUT: GOOD: The action has been steady with bigger fish being caught frequently. Trolling or pitching from a boat has been productive. Tube jigs starting to kick out the big ones. Tas Devils, Needlefish and other spoons doing great on the troll. West end had a bunch of debris floating around from the storm but it is clearing up fast. Night anglers knocking them dead. Fall catching is starting to happen. Trophy Season as we like to call it.
KOKANEE SALMON:POOR TO FAIR: Four year olds are still showing up here and there. Mostly one and two, mostly on Tas Devils and mostly in 40 feet of water off of Rocking Chair. Lead core or down rigger although some have not been but two colors of line out and the lead core has been more successful than the down rigger.
NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: Action has been steady on fish like the one Ginger caught above. They are very chunky and spunky and lots of anglers are doing well. Spinner Baits, Hucky Jerks, other big sticks and tube jigs have done particularly well. Bill’s Spinner baits in Blue/black and Orange/brown have done well. Special this weekend while supplies last buy three Bill’s Spinner Baits get one free. Come celebrate the end of Summer at the Pike Tournament.
*This contest is sanctioned by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and encourages the harvest of Northern Pike in an effort to keep a proper balance in the lake. These fish have no predators accept themselves and if left unchecked they can decimate Trout populations. Come learn how to fillet this delicious fish at our cleaning demonstration done by the experts and then taste them for yourself. Some refer to this contest as a “catch and kill” event. We like to refer to it as a “catch and eat” event. But you can never win when it comes to the catch and release Pike crowd. The contest is good for the lake regardless of what they think or CPW would not be a sponsor.
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
The WEEKLY FISHING Report is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way. So if its not there on Thursday morning it will show up by Friday. We appreciate all the support and acknowledge that many of you won't miss a week. Many Thanks. Oh and by the way there may not always be a fish pic.
