TROUT: GOOD TO VERY GOOD: Action is hot and heavy on Typical and Standard size Cuttbows Trolling or pitching on the West End from Stoll Mountain and Rocking Chair to points West to Suckers Cove and the North shore side of the lake. Woolly Buggers in black as well as scuds and crawfish patterns bending the Fly rods. Tube jigs in white, pumpkin and green have done very well and often result in a tight line hookup. Action can be had all over the lake with Fall perhaps one of the best times of the year. Smaller crowds and bigger fish make for a great day. Power, Fire Bait in addition to crawler/mallow sandwich productive from shore. Get an extra rod stamp if you don’t already have one and sit your bait pole in a holder and pitch a Kastmaster with the other. Double the fun.

KOKANEE SALMON:POOR TO FAIR: Four year olds are still showing up here and there. Mostly one and two, mostly on Tas Devils and mostly in 40 feet of water off of Rocking Chair. Lead core or down rigger although some have not been but two colors of line out and the lead core has been more successful than the down rigger.

NORTHERN PIKE: VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT: Action started to pick up about two weeks ago and is on fire now. The Pike Tournament saw 22 out of 30 teams weigh in over 495 lbs of fish. Contest results to be posted on the Contest Page soon. Many large fish became a late lunch which was absolutely delicious for the crowd. Reports from contestants saw stick baits being very productive in 10 to 12 feet of water worked extremely fast. Blue and Silver HJ14 was particularly good. In fact many sticks with orange belly’s were really hot. Look to Firetiger and perch patterns that all have orange belly’s and get ready to rumble. Where are the best spots? Stop in and we will mark your map.
