TROUT: GOOD: Lots of great action for most although there are those having a difficult time Usually people with little experience here. Those in the know have been having a great time. Trolling or pitching on the West End from Stoll Mountain and Rocking Chair to points West to Suckers Cove and the North shore side of the lake. Tasmanian Devil in Y82 pattern has been hot as it often is in the Fall. 1/4oz and 1/8oz Black Marabou jigs have also come on strong. Tube jigs in white, motor oil and green have been consistent. Action can be had all over the lake with Fall perhaps one of the best times of the year. We have been catching big Cuttbows up to 7 pounds consistently in the North Shore Marina Cove right out our back door. Smaller crowds and bigger fish make for a great day. Power, Fire Bait in addition to crawler/mallow sandwich productive from shore. Get an extra rod stamp if you don’t already have one and sit your bait pole in a holder and pitch a Kastmaster or tube jig with the other. Double the fun.

KOKANEE SALMON:POOR : Four year olds showing up here and there. Mostly one and two, mostly on Tas Devils and mostly in 40 feet of water off of Rocking Chair. Lead core or down rigger although some have not been but two colors of line out and the lead core has been more successful than the down rigger. Don’t bank on catching one itsa luck thing.

NORTHERN PIKE: VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT: The Pike Tournament saw 22 out of 30 teams weigh in over 495 lbs of fish. Larger fish on the prowl in 10 to 12 feet of water. Work the weed lines and drop offs. Sticks and Bill’s Spinner Baits doing well with anything having orange in it the best. The radical FB catch and release Pike crowd hit our FB page this week in response to a contest pic posted. The record shows these are first timers on our page. These people’s behavior is unacceptable considering CPW encourages the harvest of Northern’s. It is flat out wrong and probably illegal to incite vandalism and violence. It’s one thing to disagree its quite another to make threats against us and others. We have and will continue to block and report to FB those that think it is OK behavior to deal in threats and incitement to act in a violent manner against others who are doing what is totally legal. If you have problems with regulations deal with CPW but leave others alone with your nonsense . These people aren’t sportsmen. Freedom of speech is one thing threats and incitement are quite another. We will deal with them in the appropriate manner and law enforcement is one of them if it comes to that.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park.  Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.

The WEEKLY FISHING Report is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way. So if its not there on Thursday morning it will show up by Friday. We appreciate all the support and acknowledge that many of you won't miss a week but every now and then we might. Report takes a vacation in November. Fish On!
