ICE OFF IS TROPHY TIME!!
This is a great time to catch big fish. What you don’t know you don’t know. Conditions may be challenging but for those that know…they know!!

TROUT: GOOD TO VERY GOOD: Big fish is the order of the day. Plenty of fish caught over 20” to 25”. This time of year it can happen throughout the day depending on conditions. As Isaiah (pic above) knows the wind does not keep the fish away. If anything it is better than the calm. Lots of different baits working. Jigs, flies, lures and baits of a variety and type. Additional rod stamp enables you to throw out some bait while pitching a Kastmaster, tube or Rapala. Stop in for the latest update. Prime ice off conditions lasts a few weeks.

SALMON:NO REPORT: No ice no salmon.

NORTHERN PIKE: POOR: Have not caught any or spoke to anyone who has as of late. Not for lack of trying. Still a little early and hopefully as the water warms we will see improved action.

ROAD: GOOD: They have chip and sealed the road from Lake George to CR/92 then dirt for about 2 miles then chip and seal to the General Store. The 2 miles of loose dirt and gravel is getting wash boarded and in fair to poor condition but still a small section of the 10 mile ride in. The new chip and seal installed by mistake and not done as well as the CR90 section is seeing some wear due to the heavy logging equipment going in and out. Crickets out of Park County BOCC. For now the way in from Lake George is still way better than last year.

CR92/59 to 23:FAIR TO POOR : The no chip and seal 2 mile section from 90/92 turn to 92 has seen better days. Logging and heavy equipment traffic continue taking a toll

PIC # 1: Marina staffer Steve lands this great Cuttbow at sundown. He knows!

PIC # 2: “Ice off bite is hot. 3/14/26 battling the high winds paid off!pic courtesy Isaiah T. He knows!!

PIC # 3: Watched him fight this Gunker just down the shoreline from Marina. He definitely knows!!!

PIC # 4: Caught and released swam off to lay some eggs. 2 1/2” pumpkin pepper tube. He really knows too!!!!
