WEEKLY FISHING REPORT 07.23.26

MARINA STORE HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00AM TO 6:00PM SATURDAY 7:00AM TO 7:00PM SUNDAY 7:00AM TO 6:00PM

CURRENT ROAD CONDITIONS: The BIG news this week is you can now drive from Lake George to the State Park Coyote Ridge entrance on all chip n seal road base. Not a single pot hole, no dirt ruts, no washboard, no dust, no losing trailer parts, no vehicle damage, no rv/boat damage, no flat tires, no getting run off the road by some one trying to avoid a pot hole the size of their car AND no more spousal arguments about why you were even going to Eleven Mile in the first place because of the horrific road conditions!! NO CUDOS to Park County. It’s about time. Enough public pressure, threat of lawsuits and actual lawsuits maybe moved the dial. Don’t think this is the end of it. They still refuse to do anymore. No road through the Park, no CR 92 to CR 59, No CR 23. BUT we now have the best road conditions on the 10 miles to and from Lake George that we have seen in a decade. REJOICE! Time to COMEBACK to the MILE!!

CURRENT CONDITIONS: All Park facilities are open. Starting to see a hopeful change in the weather. Afternoon thunderstorms making a comeback. Some weeds afloat but not to bad yet. Water level GOOD lake is very close to full. Catching time!

WATER TEMP: 66

WATER FLOW: 94.7 CFS IN 108 CFS OUT

CURRENT FIRE BAN PARK COUNTY STAGE 2: Propane grills allowed. Propane fire rings also allowed.

STOP IN FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE CATCHING INFO: Wear your 11 Mile Marina logo hat, shirt, etc get 10% storewide discount some restrictions apply. We are in the middle of July and are extremely rocking busy and that’s a good thing but can’t always answer the phone. Leave a message we will try to call you back.

CRAWFISH BOILS IN AUGUST: As a fundraiser for FHNB we will host our annual crawfish boils weekends in August. $12.00/plate. Further details to be posted soon.

TROUT:GOOD TO VERY GOOD: Plenty of action from shore. Bait, lures and flies. Calm conditions make it a little more difficult but afternoon breezes bring on the bites. Boaters doing well on Cuttbows running 14 to 17 inches. Occasional Browns and Cutthroats also being landed. Tas Devils, Needlefish, Krocodiles doing well on the troll. Kastmasters doing well on the cast and jig. Tube jigs coming on particularly at sundown

KOKANEE SALMON:FAIR TO GOOD: Limits hard to come by but fish are being caught regularly which is a dramatic improvement from years gone by. It’s hard to say which presentation is the best since it certainly seems to change daily. Dodgers, Sling Blades, Pop Gear with Macks Wedding Rings or wiggle hootchies have done well. We have caught plenty on downrigger with a Needlefish or Tas Devil. We have even seen long lining 13gram Tas Devil’s catch. No lead core no downrigger. When the wind blows them come up to almost the surface.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR: Pretty much the same. Fish being caught but effort required. Not jumping in the boat. Big sticks, Tubes and spoons are all on the menu. Big fish follow but then turn away. Wind is definitely your friend. Husky Jerks are performing well. Mid morning to mid afternoon. We have seen nice fish 26 to 30 inches. They are not skinny like they are at Spinney.

PIC # 1 & 2: Section that was dirt. And they plan another layer of chip n seal to the lake.

PIC # 3: And this is why you should come back to the Mile on a nice road.

PIC # 4: She caught this nice one all by herself.

PIC # 5: Crawfish Boil coming soon

PIC # 6: A nice one indeed!!
