CURRENT CONDITIONS: All Park facilities are open. We had our first real rain in almost 40 days yesterday. It was a good one. And we are having another one right now…Yay!!! We all hope to see a turn in the weather with nice mornings followed by afternoon storms. They don’t last but an hour but soakers are a start to get out of this draught.

WATER TEMP: 66

WATER FLOW: 93.2 CFS IN 111.1 CFS OUT

CURRENT FIRE BAN PARK COUNTY STAGE 2: Propane grills allowed. Propane fire rings also allowed.

We are in the middle of July and are extremely rocking busy and that’s a good thing but can’t always answer the phone. Leave a message we will try to call you back.

CRAWFISH BOILS IN AUGUST: As a fundraiser for FHNB we will host our annual crawfish boils weekends in August. $12.00/plate. Further details to be posted soon.

TROUT:VERY GOOD: Shore or boat action has been good. Lots of fish from shore on Berkley Power and Pautzke Fire Baits. Colors vary orange has been good of late. Kastmasters from shore also catching well. Boaters on the troll continue to fill limits with fish 13 to 16 inches and a good number caught over 16”. Lots of baits working. If you like to drag Pop Gear often a successful attractant. We prefer light tackle on a downrigger for lots of fun. Tas Devils, Needlefish, Rapala’s, Kastmasters and more scoring nice numbers. Tube jigs coming on. We feature Dry Creek tubes with Cottonmouth, Snake River and Demented coming on strong

KOKANEE SALMON: GOOD: Lots of fish being landed. Some anglers really score while others are still hoping. Many fish in the 16 to 19 inch class with 20” plus showing up. Green Rainbow Pop Gear with a Macks Wedding Ring tipped with Berkley Gulp Alive Flamingo Maggots see decent action. Tas Devils, Cerise Pearl Needlefish and other hardware lures doing well. Timing and depth are important. Wind helps. You would think early morning would be best but not always the case.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR: Fish being caught but effort required. Not jumping in the boat. Big sticks, Tubes and spoons are all on the menu. Big fish follow but then turn away. Wind is definitely your friend. Husky Jerks are performing well. Mid morning to mid afternoon.

ROAD: The County has no real Plan. Currently their no plan plan calls for filling current pothole disaster on the chip and seal section they got for free but was never finished properly. After the pothole repair they will lay another layer of chip and seal which would properly finish off the neglected free bee. There is no plan to do anything with the two miles or so of dirt in between chip and seal sections. There is no plan to do anything from the General Store through the Park to Spinney. There is no plan for CR 23 leading to Highway 24. This County has no Master Plan. They have NO PLAN and apparently don’t know how to make one.
