MARINA STORE HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00AM TO 6:00PM SATURDAY 7:00AM TO 7:00PM SUNDAY 7:00AM TO 6:00PM

CURRENT CONDITIONS: Winds have calmed air has cleared. All Park facilities are open. No rain here to speak of but some areas have seen a localized downpour. Temps high in the 80’s lows in the low 40’s. Been very nice overall!!

With Antero offline and Spinney boating “at your own risk” and it is risky indeed we have been seeing strong attendance numbers in spite of the fire ban which usually hurts attendance overall. It is extremely dry please be mindful and careful.

WATER TEMP: 64

WATER FLOW: 97.7 CFS IN 103 CFS OUT

CURRENT FIRE BAN PARK COUNTY STAGE 2: Propane grills allowed. Propane fire rings also allowed.

TROUT:VERY GOOD: Shore or boat action has been good. Lots of fish from shore on Berkley Power and Pautzke Fire Baits. Colors vary orange has been good of late. Kastmasters from shore also catching well. Boaters on the troll continue to fill limits with fish 13 to 16 inches and a good number caught over 16”. Lots of baits working. If you like to drag Pop Gear often a successful attractant. We prefer light tackle on a downrigger for lots of fun. Tas Devils, Needlefish, Rapala’s, Kastmasters and more scoring nice numbers. Tube jigs coming on. We feature Dry Creek tubes with Cottonmouth, Snake River and Demented coming on strong

KOKANEE SALMON: GOOD: Lots of fish being landed. Some anglers really score while others are still hoping. Many fish in the 16 to 19 inch class. Green Rainbow Pop Gear with a Macks Wedding Ring tipped with Berkley Gulp Alive Flamingo Maggots see decent action. Tas Devils, Cerise Pearl Needlefish and other hardware lures doing well. Timing and depth are important. Wind helps. You would think early morning would be best but not always the case.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR: Fish being caught but effort required. Not jumping in the boat. Big sticks, Tubes and spoons are all on the menu. Big fish follow but then turn away. Wind is definitely your friend. Husky Jerks are performing well. Mid morning to mid afternoon.

ROAD: As the story goes the County had a grant to chip and seal CR 90 to 92 about 5 miles. Last year the contractor in error chip and sealed CR 92 from General Store to where it ends in dirt about 3 miles or so. Then it was dirt to the CR 90/92 turn. The County stopped the contractor since they were doing the wrong section. The job was not complete and the heavy logging equipment used in National Forest clear cutting operations tore up sections of a half fast chip and seal road creating incredible pot hole hazards guaranteed to destroy your trailers, RV’s and car/truck suspension and more if you hit them going to fast or just hit them without slowing to a crawl. Hopefully enough of you let the County know how horrible it had become. You would think they would take advantage of a free road and finish it off properly. The County is negligent beyond belief.

CR 23 to 59:FAIR TO POOR: Recently graded but already washboard

Signs went up TODAY announcing “Road Work Ahead”. One can only hope they are doing the right thing and fixing the most dangerous and hazardous spots. Accidents have occurred and luckily no one has been hurt to our knowledge. It’s only a matter of time before the worst occurs if they don’t make the roads safe. Government’s first concern should be the safety of it’s inhabitants. Park County gets a failing grade when it comes to roads in and out of Eleven Mile and Spinney.
