ARCHERY RANGE UNDER CONTRUCTION: CPW is installing an archery range near Rocky Flats. Looks to be a very big project and should be done this Summer. Very exciting indeed. Stay tuned for more details.

PARK OPEN 24/7/365

CURRENT CONDITIONS: There has been some minor grading on the road heading to Spinney but it looks like they are intentionally avoiding the roads in and around the Park. The County roads into and out of the Park continue to get worse with each passing day. I have owned property in Park County and have been a resident since 1984 and have never seen it this bad. Let your feelings be heard starting with Amy Mitchell. We will be following up every report adding new officials to contact and try to build pressure on the the elected representatives responsible for this travesty. The only excuse is incompetence or corruption. If she can’t help she needs to resign her position. Elections can’t come soon enough. Lets see the reach of this report send your complaints NOW!!!!

Highway 24 from the Springs has seen some improvement with the construction complete in Divide alleviating what was major backups. They are still rock scaling before Woodland Park expect some delays and still working outside of Florrisant but the delay is not serious.

There is no fire ban posted on the Park County website.

I have started a grassroots effort to apply pressure on the political parties that be that this situation must be fixed. They will blame it on State Parks. They will blame it on someone else and so it goes. And we pay the price.

TROUT: VERY EXCELLENT: If you are on a boat and use downriggers the bite is non stop. Lead Core also doing great but we can hardly get them out. No sooner than you drop the downrigger its fish on. Mostly Cuttbows 13 to 16 inches chunky and spunky. Bigger fish to 23 inches not uncommon. Needlefish in a variety of patterns, blue/silver Dynamic, Rapala and Tas Devils. We got a new Krocodile in Glo UV cerise that has been spectacular. Action from shore is good at sunrise and sunset. Nightcrawler and mallows. Power Bait salmon peach or any of them with garlic. Strawberry Limeade Garlic available exclusively here at the Marina.

KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR : It is clearly one day hot one day not. Timing and conditions make the big difference. Can’t catch them if you don’t try. Kokanee Kustoms, Macks Wedding Rings with Dodger. Go through your tackle box and try different things. Long line a pink Tas when its windy the fish come close to the surface. Limits are far and few between but they do happen. If you are at the right spot at the right time its game on.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR TO GOOD: Bill’s Spinner Baits are back for a limited time only. He stopped making them but had a little stash that we were able to get. We like the Brown/Orange and Black/Blue available only at the Marina Store. They catch Pike!! Work the coves all around the lake. We like East of Howbert to Witchers. Most run West we head East. Time to work the Spinner baits. The 1st Gen we have are beginning to see action. Rapala and big sticks still producing. Big fish are far and few between but small to moderate size are showing up more frequently.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
