CATCH YOUR TROPHY NOW

TROUT: GOOD: Action has been steady. Ice off action should go on a little longer. Cuttbows in spawn mode. Browns are active. Look to the tackle box and change up frequently if need be. We really like tube jigs this time of year. Marabou jigs also one of our favorites. Just got in a bunch of new tubes and Marabous should be here any day. We don’t necessarily rush out on a boat when the lake opens. Have been doing great from shore on big fish particularly at sundown until it’s dark and you can’t hardly see. Rapala’s and Kastmasters also a hot ticket look to Leach and egg patterns on the fly and night crawlers don’t let you down.

SALMON:NO REPORT:

NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: Right at ice off it was slow. Once the water warmed a bit they turned on and many anglers were seeing successful action in shallow water. Look to big sticks like the Rapala F-18 Pike Pattern and J-13 in gold or black. Work the shorelin in more than one spot and wind is your friend if it’s at your back.

ROAD: GOOD: They have chip and sealed the road from Lake George to CR/92 then dirt for about 2 miles then chip and seal to the General Store. The 2 miles of loose dirt and gravel is getting wash boarded and in fair to poor condition but still a small section of the 10 mile ride in. The new chip and seal installed by mistake and not done as well as the CR90 section is seeing some wear due to the heavy logging equipment going in and out. Crickets out of Park County BOCC. For now the way in from Lake George is still way better than last year.

CR92/59 to 23:FAIR TO POOR : The no chip and seal 2 mile section from 90/92 turn to 92 has seen better days. Logging and heavy equipment traffic continue taking a toll
