TROUT:VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT: To be sure boaters may have an advantage when trolling is hot. Shore anglers doing well but many boaters are just slamming it. Mostly smaller Cuttbows but a fair number of Cuttbows running 18” to 22”. Not every day is unbelievable but many are. Wind is your friend if you can put up with it. Last week in a fierce wind we caught fish non stop for hours. Lots of baits are working. Try your favorite. Tas Devils to be sure but we have had good luck on many different lures. West End has been consistent but we catch plenty of Trout points East as well.

KOKANEE SALMON:FAIR TO GOOD: Most have struggled to get more than a couple but others have scored like the pic above. And we see at least one boat a day that hits the jackpot. Green Rainbow Pop Gear with a Wiggle Hootchie, Dodgers with Kokanee Kustoms and Tas Devils just by themselves on a lead core. Gulp Alive Pink Maggots with Garlic really help when tipping the hook. Timing and spot are always crucial. It seems the bite is a later in the morning and day although it’s so hard to predict. The day of the wind spoken about above was the day they caught the salmon in above pic.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR TO GOOD: Big Rapala’s catching big fish. Timing is also critical with mid morning and later afternoon good time to try. J11 jointed in Black/white or the F18 Pike pattern being good ones to try, Lots of action on the West end but we also like points East around rock drop offs. Spinner Baits starting to come on. We have some serious spinner baits.

ROAD: GOOD: They have chip and sealed the road from Lake George to CR/92 then dirt for about 2 miles then chip and seal to the General Store. The 2 miles of loose dirt and gravel was just graded and sprayed. It is as good as it will be right now but washboard conditions returning. The new chip and seal installed by mistake and not done as well as the CR90 section is seeing some wear due to the heavy logging equipment going in and out. Crickets out of Park County BOCC. For now the way in from Lake George is still way better than last year.

CR 23 to 59: POOR: Recently graded but already washboard

CR 90 to 92:FAIR TO POOR: Graded last week already washboard.

PIC # 1: Not all salmon but most are. What a great day!

PIC # 2: Black Marabou jig in Nort Shore Marina area.

PIC # 3: Once you learn to catch them, then you learn to clean them. If only he could learn to eat them lol.

PIC # 4: Wear any of your Marina logo merch get 10% off storewide discount. Some restrictions apply.
