PIC # 4: WINNER WINNER $50.00 Gift card. This May’s photo winner is Shelby and her son Wyatt. It’s not always the big fish. This is a small fish with a BIG story. Shelby and her son spent a few days here over the holiday. He wanted to go fishing in the worst way. He had never caught one nor had she. They came into the Marina for assistance. We gave them help showing how to tie knots, make a proper rig etc. They tried really hard. Had some action with Power Bait but couldn’t hook them. Finally out on a boat trolling a lead core they each caught their fist fish. The happiness factor was off the charts and a future lifelong young angler was hooked. Now that’s another catching Memory!!!

PIC # 5: Come check out our Tasmanian selection.

SEND US YOUR PICS: Catching Memories. See your smiling face on the Weekly Report. Win a $50.00 gift card for the pic of the month posted on this report. Winner based on Marina staff selection. May winner to be announce next week. Stay tuned.

TROUT: GOOD TO VERY GOOD: As the hatch dissipates the fish have gorged and stretched those stomachs. Then they go into a biting frenzy. Lots of Cuttbows 13 to 15 inches. We are catching 20 to 30 fish on a trip. No time to snack. Bigger ones a little elusive they will start coming on again soon. Many baits work but not all. Some lures are hot one day and then cold the next. Needlefish, Thomas Bouyants, Kastmaster, Rapala some of the hot tickets. Stop in for the latest updates.

KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR : They are being caught and every now and then someone gets a limit. Many are big three and four year olds. If you put in the time and know what you are doing you will catch some. Look to North Shore to Duck Island and Duck Island to Deer Island. Fish are suspended 10 to 40 feet. Most successful technique is trolling lead core with a dodger and a Macks wedding Ring, Squid or Kokanee Kustoms. We have tipped them with Pink Gulp Alive Maggots. Mack’s Imperial Spoons in orange or chartreuse have done well.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR TO GOOD: Work the coves all around the lake. We like East of Howbert to Witchers. Most run West we head East. Time to work the Spinner baits. The 1st Gen we have are beginning to see action. Rapala and big sticks still producing. Big fish are far and few between but small to moderate size are showing up more frequently.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park.  Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
