The minimum donation is now $10.00 Includes a big pile of crawfish corn and potatoes. Cajun style like we do. The hard costs to produce the boil was just eating us alive. We donated 100% of the $5.00 per plate to FHNB but we have to cover the costs. Begins between noon and 1:00PM

TROUT: FAIR TO GOOD: The bite had slowed considerably for many. Talk of August and “the dog days of Summer” were bantered about. Skunk excuses for our book were also running the gamut. We liked the new one “I hadn’t fished for a longtime and I was out of practice”. But then yesterday happened. Eleven Mile might have a slow streak from time to time but they generally don’t last more than three days in a row. Lots of big fish were landed this past week and yesterday in particular. They were caught on many different baits and it seemed the lake just had one of those super hot days that cannot be predicted by those that like to predict. Tube jigs are coming on with color preferences changing daily. Lots of crawfish in those big fish and there are lots of crawfish for them to eat. Rapala’s and Needlefish continue a strong Summer run. Night crawler/mallow always a good bet from shore.

SALMON: FAIR TO POOR: Nothing has changed much here. At least there are a few anglers still popping one or two. Right place right time. Have not seen anyone really score big numbers but for those that put in the time two or three are possible. Best action has been straight out from Marina in 60 feet of water. It’s a onezee twozee thing. But still nice to see.

NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR TO GOOD: Bigger fish getting a little more aggressive. Smaller ones still fill the void but there are anglers with more stories of “the one that got away” Tube jigs, Stick Baits and Bill’s Spinner Bait producing. Mid to late morning a good time. Yesterday’s strong bite included the Pike too. But lots of stories and no pic’s for proof lol. You know the excuses. We have all used them. That fish ran so hard and fast. Got em right up to the boat and bam just like that broke me off. It was a big one! Hmmmm. I believe them…well some of them.

ROAD: FAIR TO GOOD TO POOR: They have done CR 90 AGAIN from Lake George to CR92. Overall the road is better than it has been and they have redone the section from the General Store through the Park to the Park Maintenance facility entrance. BUT the section from the maintenance entrance past Stoll Mountain and almost to CR59 is undrivable.
