FOR FALL TROPHY SEASON HAS STARTED COME CATCH YOURS

TROUT: FAIR TO VERY GOOD: Some anglers have struggled others are hitting the gold mine. This time of year calls for being able to change tactics and locations. Some spots that were good previously may not be and baits that were working stop being your friend. Tube jigs are catching big fish. Trollers doing well but timing and offerings are sometimes challenging. You have a tackle box and sometimes you have to go through it to find what they want. Shore anglers are doing really well. Mostly nighcrawlers/mallows or Power Bait/Fire Bait. You can pitch lures like Kastmasters, Tas Devils and tube jigs and catch a plenty from shore. Night anglers having a blast. Sundown is almost always good. Its time to catch your trophy!

SALMON: POOR: One here one there and a few big four year olds but if time is money you would go broke fishing for Kokanee lately.

The river is full of spawning salmon. You can catch them but you can’t keep them. Fun no matter how you slice it. Egg patterns and San Juan worms are their favorite.

NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: There are good days followed by “where did they go?” days. Ten feet of water continues to be a great depth. West End along the weed bed lines sees plenty of action. Rock drop offs hold some really big ones. Spinner baits, tube jigs and big Rapala’s see good results. As the water cools the action will keep picking up.

ROAD: GOOD: They have chip and sealed the road from Lake George to CR/92 then dirt for about 2 miles then chip and seal to the General Store. Apparently the story is the Contractor did the section closer to the lake when the contract was for Lake George to CR92. So the County apparently got an additional 4 miles or so done for free since the Contractor made a big mistake. We will take a better road no matter how it happens. Good for us and the County not the Contractor. CR 23 is starting to deteriorate again. CR 59 to from here to Spinney is OK
