WATER FLOW: 66.3 CFS IN 90.6 CFS OUT Although levels remain good at -24.3 CFS we probably wont move our rental dock out since it is so late in the season. This may be our last weekend of boat rentals. Perfect flow if you are fishing the Canyon

TROUT: GOOD: As the water temp drops the catching is picking up. Trolling has improved and casting has been very productive. Kastmasters are kicking it. Tas Devils very productive. Arnies Dynamic in orange and chartreuse have been surprisingly hot on the troll. Lead core and downriggers help but plenty of fish cruising up top not requiring special equipment. Long lining getting deep enough on the troll. Crank turns and vary speeds a good policy for hooking up. Boat not required to land the big ones. Traditional baits from shore like nightcrawlers, Power Bait, Pautske Firebait and salmon eggs doing well. Remember not to leave your pole unattended. It might disappear into the lake on a massive hit in addition to getting you a ticket for unattended pole. Know the rules read the regs.
KOKANEE SALMON:FAIR TO POOR: A lot of folks have been catching four year olds from shore or boat on lures and jigs. Some trolling some not. Lots of fish stacked up at the inlet getting ready to move up river. Those working certain areas in the river are having fun catching them in mass.
NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: Action continues to be consistent all around the lake. Spoons, tubes and big sticks have all been productive. Timing seems to be concentrated in early to late afternoon but some have been caught earlier. The foul weather has resulted in some hot action for those that aren’t fair weather fisher people. We fish in all types of conditions and although wind isn’t fun and rain calls for the proper gear the bite can be spectacular. Can’t catch them if you don’t try. Time to hit the MILE!

ROAD CONDITIONS: All good on CR 90/92 until Park. CR 92 to CR 23 was graded last week. It’s fair but getting washboard fast. Lawsuit moving forward. We will not relent. Park County will be forced to fix the road once and for all.
